Saturday, February 10, 2001 (11.19pm) - Inferiority complex.

Regarding the topic of today... yes, I do have inferiority complex. And I freely admit that. It's something I want to change, however, if that is possible in this lifetime. Hopefully I can get rid of it this year, before I set my foot out of secondary school.

Talking to Dad can be such an... enlightening experience. Hehe. And he and I agree on a lot of bases. Not to mention I get to polish my debating and arguing skills when I'm talking to him and sharing opinions.

I'm glad that Dad isn't those conservative Chinese men who thinks that girls should just shut up and clean up the house.

Let me make it clear to everyone that sometimes when I say something, it doesn't mean that I believe in it unless I clearly state so. In fact, I can truthfully say that most of the times I bring up topics and questions just to find how people reacts to it. I love to play with the mind. So it's kind of advisable never to interpret what I write as what I really think.

Especially when I'm talking about certain issues and referring to everything in a general scope. Especially when I don't use the word "I" or the phrase "I personally think". It's very dangerous to make an assumption of what you don't know for sure.

When I wrote the article about feminism for Purple Sofa, I don't support it wholly. Sorry if you had thought I did. Maybe it's technically against any journalism ethics to write about something, and perhaps even deliberately making a false impression to everyone... but years of Malaysian education has made me what I am: a walking, breathing, typing bullshitter. I can lie without a blink of an eye. And you can thank the education department for that quality I have.

I guess I can say that I was just searching for a topic to cling to. To write about. Other than the usual rants I do in this diary of mine. Hehe. And I was trying darn hard not to include any of my own opinions in there, trying to make it sound more polished, mature, and professional.

Um... yeah, trying. I'm not sure whether I managed it or not.

So anyway, I was talking to my dad about equality and all that. I personally don't think that there is ever going to be equality among the sexes. I'm taking on majority into account. How can there be equality, when 80% of women are born more patient and determined than most men, and 80% men are born more physically active than most women? We already have a pretty unequal start. Why would it be different as we grow?

And actually, I think we women get more out of the modern society then men. In the past, most work needed physical strength: something most women are lacking of. That is why women were pushed to the sidelines back then. But these things change as our surrounding change and we evolve. In this era of modern techonology, what is physically taxing is done by machines. We just sit down on our asses and push buttons. And that, is probably a job suited better for women who has the patience and the ability to endure such mental torture of boredom.

Instead of focusing on women's rights, animal's rights, and all those stupid rules... why don't we just focus on the thing that matters: your work capability? Don't that just makes more sense? If the women really think that they're all that, they can just try to compete with the men on working skills. And we should hire them by how good they are at their job. Feminism is really a stupid thing, sad to say. If they feminists want equality so badly, they can just go and live in a Communist country. Now, that is what I call equality. Because they don't give a fuck who you are or what sex you belong to or who's son or daughter you are and as long as you are one of them you do what everyone else does. That is equality. A little inhuman, maybe, but equal.

That is what should be said to any feminists who comes by your way and shouts for equality. Because you know, when things aren't equal for the men's side, did the feminists step up to speak for them? They wanted equal rights, right? Well... that isn't equal. Apparently they are just drumming up the female side of the votes. You see... that's dirty politics. And that's selfishness. Feminists, those who are in high positions, are only "protecting" women's rights to satisfy their own pockets. When there's an inequality for the men's side, no one speaks up. And I admire the men for enduring that without making a big fuss like the women feminists did.

Sometimes you see those stupid women who endures taking steriods and lift irons and buffing up muscles... just so that to prove that girls can do it too. But taking steriods are basically pumping yourself with male hormones, which will give you the muscular build, and deep voice, and cancer, and childbearing problems. And not to mention that it is all fake. Is it worth it? Think about that.

Oh yeah, and spelling "womyn" instead of "women" is just plain stupid. What the fuck of a difference does that makes anyway? It's just a damn word. And stop corrupting the poor children's minds, they do take spelling tests in schools. Do they have to endure the less then perfect score beause of a lousy spelling, convinced by the "womyns"?

How duh.

So, you see, that's why I think that feminism is sometimes just a load of bullshit. There's no equality, and never will be. It's something like being born shorter than the others and you can't play basketball that well. But there is a minority of short people who can play basketball well, and perhaps even better than the tall ones. In fact, there are probably some guys who are a hell lot better at sewing that most women.

But that's just it. Minority. A very teeny tiny part of the population. And who holds the most votes? Majority.

I shall rest my case.
